  • How many people does the motor home cater for?

    The motor home has 4 designated passenger seats with seat belts.

  • Who can drive the motorhome?

    Anyone between the ages of 25-75 who has a standard driving licence for at least 3 years.

  • Do you allow dogs?

    Unfortunately at this time we do not allow dogs in the motor home.

  • How can I book the motorohome?

    You can either email or call Ladycross reception and we will help you with any further information or check availability.

  • How long can I rent the motorohome for?

    During peak season rentals are for 7 days or longer and we can offer discounts for longer periods of rental. During mid and low season we can cater for shorter breaks.

  • What is the 'Ladycross 50 Offer'?

    We offer your first or last day your holiday at Ladycross for only £50 which covers the motor home hire, insurance and your pitch fee. We hope that that you use the offer on your first night so that you do not have to rush to collect the motor home and we can welcome you to Ladycross and have the time to show you the motor home and how it works and answer any questions in the morning that you may have before you leave.

  • How can I pay?

    You can pay by debit, credit card or bank transfer whichever method is preferable to you.

  • How much is the security deposit and what is it used for?

    A security deposit of £500 is required by card and is fully refundable upon return of the Motor home on time, undamaged, with a clean oven, interior and chemical toilet cassette cleaned and emptied. In the event of damage to our vehicle either internally or externally, the £500 or part of will go towards the repair.

  • What are the collection and drop off times?

    The motor home will be ready from 15:00 on the day of collection and must be returned by 12:00 on the day of return. If you require a collection outside of these times we will try and accommodate you subject to other bookings.

  • Do you have secure parking for my car?

    Yes your car can be left at the caravan park which has cctv and barrier entry – we also have a valeting service if required for your return.

  • Do I need a special license to drive the motorhome?

    No you can drive our motor home on a standard driving license as they are all below 3.5 ton in weight. The motor home has all the latest technology to make driving easier.

  • Can I take the motorhome to mainland Europe?

    European travel is available however it incurs an extra charge per driver per week due to the increased insurance premium and can be upwards of £5 per driver per day for a driver without any penalty points.

  • Would we be able to be collected from an airport, ferry terminal or railway station?

    We can collect you from the Whitby railway station or arrange a taxi to collect you should you be arriving outside of Whitby.

  • Do you operate all year round?

    Yes we operate year round and our motor home has the latest dual-fuel blown air heating system to ensure you stay warm and cosy on the coldest of winter nights.

  • What identification do I need to bring?

    When collecting the vehicle you will need your photo license but we will require further identification prior to hire and we will let you know everything we need when you book.

  • How old is the motorhome?

    The motor home was purchased new in May 2016 and is built using Swifts intelligent construction for better warmth, aerodynamics and driving technology.

  • What are your periods of hire?

    We have a minimum booking period (4 night minimum) at all times and usually longer during peak periods. There is no limit to the hire period and we offer discounts for longer booking periods......don’t forget the 'Ladycross 50' offer!

  • What happens if we breakdown on hire?

    Breakdown cover is included in our rates and should a breakdown or flat tyre should occur you can just give us a ring and we will arrange recovery. We do advise you take out travel insurance to cover accommodation costs should the unlikely happen and the vehicle be unusable.

  • Will you show me how the motorhome works?

    Yes you will be given a full introduction to the motor home and you will also have the swift handbook with instructions to use whilst away. If you require any further information on your holiday please contact the park directly and we will be happy to help.

  • Is bedding supplied with the motorhome?

    No you need to supply your own bedding but we can a bedding and towel pack at £30 per person.

  • Do you provide kitchen and dining utensils?

    Yes, Crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils are included including washing up liquid, dish cloth, tea towel, kitchen roll, cleaning fluid & toilet roll.

  • Do you allow smoking in the motorhome?

    No for the comfort of all our customers smoking is not permitted.

  • Any advice to plan my holiday?

    We always suggest you have an idea of your route before you leave and as the motor home has satellite navigation finding your destinations will be made easy. Where possible we suggest book campsites in advance and make sure they have the practical facilities you require, such as power, water and waste disposal facilities ..... and a toilet block is always good!

  • What fuel related information do I need to know?

    The motor home runs on diesel fuel. A full tank will be provided ready for your holiday but we do ask you return the vehicle with a full tank. If the tank requires filling this will incur additional charges.

  • How does the water system work?

    The motor home is fitted with an onboard water tank, which will be full upon collection. This will last for around 2-3 days but the visible gauges on board will allow you to see how much water is left and when the tank needs refilling. You will be able to fill up at petrol stations and camp sites. There is also a grey water tank and this will need to be emptied when you fill up with fresh water.

  • How does the toilet/shower work?

    The cassette toilet has an electric flush and chemicals are required to keep it clean and fresh which are provided. The toilet has a separate cartridge which needs to be emptied into an appropriate disposal point which you will find on campsites. Please empty and clean the toilet before return. If we are required to clean the toilet cassette this would result in a charge of £100.00.

  • How does the fridge work?

    The motor home is fitted with a refrigerator in the kitchen area and can operate on gas or electric.
